hello! Wow! that all sounds amazing - I agree with Charmaine, the turtle does remind me of the play though hopefully no one will bury their child in the sand this time....Poor you guys with the eviction - what's happening? I sent you a parcel to the address you posted on live journal. Hope it doesn't get stolen by evil landlord/bed bugs.
I've started my job - at last! Everyone seems really nice and it's a mixture of admin and visits so I get out of the office a fair bit. It's in a really interesting part of london near kings cross. Slightly seedy but near Angel and Oxford street etc. The journey's not too bad either - only about 45 mins which isn't bad for london. Hows it going with you guys? You're running a club. wow! that's so cool. I'm sure you'll be fabulous and profits will double. ;-p
I went to Birmingham last week, visiting Marc's family. Slightly weird experience but his grandad very liberally let us share a bed (though Marc was too inhibited to be badly behaved in it, goddammit!) His family are all very geeky - either into steam trains, minature trains, train spotting or bird waching... But they were very welcoming and we went on long walks in the country, steam train rides, bowling and a trip down the pub where I ended up being literally carried home. Also got talking to a transvestite about stockings and corsets in Marc's favourite pub. As I said, wee bit strange but fun.
Anyways, will stop waffling. Love you both lots, Naomi xxxx
Yay, Naomi! We got your parcel, it's lovely, thankyou so much! So, you met Marc's family, eh? I'm sure he'll propose any minute now.
The turtle was amazing, and has given me good ideas for movement. Lizzie and I are trying to write a sitcom about Auld Reekie. Any reminicsences, stories, old jokes about stupid tourists, send it our way and we will try to turn it into witty dialogue and scary set peices. I think it's high time someone lampooned the Edinburgh ghost tour scene, especially as it it really is haunted and it's full of amazing characters.
Love you so much, give Marc a special something from me, Ari.xxxx
