Agh! LGBT Wtf?

Loads of folk on here are talking about moving away form LJ to dreamwidth because of some LGBT filter crap.

Does this basically mean I can't post about my life here at all??!! Is this account not allowed impicitly? What about this userpic?

What should I do? I've had an account here, regulalry updated, for 13 years, and I do want to keep all that, comments and all. Should I leave? What IS dreamwidth?

My understanding is that that icon would be ok _if_ this post was marked as for over 18s only. Because that's the law in Russia.

Dreamwidth was what happened when a few LJ people got fed up with the way the company was being run several years ago (remember things like Nipplegate and the breastfeeding controversy?) and started their own clone with a copy of the (freely available) code. You can create an account over there and import your posts/comments to it (although I believe it's running slowly at the moment).
