Some semblance of meaning and structure to my life
A million years ago, I applied to the Open University. I filled in the application and sent off the application for financial award with 5 weeks of payslips, not 2 months, as that was all I had post-Australia.
After fooking ages they wrote back saying they needed 2 months, with no reference to my explanatory letter. By this time I'd also changed jobs twice with the whole Jongleurs fiasco, so sent off ten weeks worth but all from different places.
Friday is the deadline and I still hadn't heard from them, so I thought I'd call to see what the progress was.
They told me I was registered on the course and it had been paid for by an awards agency, but apparently they're quite slow at actually writing to tell you that.
Long and short of it is: I'm going to University!! Or at least the University is coming to me! I start in February and will probably ust do an open BA but am starting with a beginner's course in law.
It's very very exciting!!
Ed - if you're reading this - is it hard? Do you think I can do it?
Ooh.
Has come at just the right time as have been having great depression about life in general.
