Dec. 7th, 2005 03:32 pmHello everyone,
First may I just say that it was excellent to talk to Morag and Bex and Erin the other night. Erin you are a fabulous, beautiful woman and I miss you immensely.
Sian, you were extremely cheeky about my toes. Stoppit. Plus, stop being grumpy about Christmas. At least you're not stuck out here in this sweaty backwater.
Today I had to get myself and my massive box of props back from the kindy to my house. So I popped into the supermarket cappark next to it, stole a trolley and then wheeled everything up hill in sweltering 35 degree heat, rattling loudly, feeling illegal, and drawing some right funny looks. Later in the day, the flat inspector came round unexpectedly, and came upon me dressed in a bikini top and a skirt, sweating and sticking to the armchair on the front verandah. He was upset about the remains of Jackie's furniture in the yard. We had a very responsible conversation about what an irresponsible girl she was. He said he didn't like the trolley in the front yard either. I said that was Jackie's too. Half an hour later, when I walked down the hill to get the train into town, I wheeled the trolley back. I have a concience. I wheeled it all the way back to where I stole it from in the first place. Well done me! I was going to keep it. I've always wanted a trolley. But now I realise they are hard work and a responsibility.
Naomi, give my regards to Mark. I'm really glad you two are still going strong. Mince pie icecream would be amazing! Might try that.
Georgie, I miss you. Lizzie misses you too, and will sometimes turn to me and sigh and be all sad because she misses you so much. She is given to extreme meleancholia and homesickness. Everyone send her good thoughts. Send me some too, come to think of it.
Christmas is going to be strange for us. We are going up to Rockhampton to be with my Catholic brood and I am not sure if I can cope with that much yuckiness. But it's family, eh? Ooh, though. Latest news is that we might go camping on Fraser island with Dave and Davo. Dave is our boss and Davo is this amazing stoner who works for Dave but is also a comedian. We have been swapping music and having big chats. We're going to go camping on this beautiful huge island, yay! That means part of Christmas will be great.
Love you all. Lizzie loves you too.
