Happy Mondays: Birthdays and buddies

Wasn't sure if I'd have time this morning as I have been busy trying to look nice; I have a job interview at 11, though am into work first. I'm about ready though and I figured I'd feel calmer if I could do this before setting off (nearly wrote 'karma' there. I blame John Lennon, now on Six Music).
Also good for Jackie's Monday morning procrastination.
1. Wish me luck for my interview please. I doubt I will get it, but it would be very nice.
2. I did get up in plenty time today, but I am worried my sleep pattern is slipping. It's been much harder to get up. I think I have to just be really strict about it - 3 nights last week I went to bed at half ten rather than ten, and I think it made a huge difference.
3. Reason for late night one: Siân and Brian's birthday, Tuesday:
5. John is home! I mean, he's currently in Ireland, but basically he's back in Edinburgh. That's good.
6. Cedric is so getting thinner. Good.
7. I am looooooving being back at Hearts & Minds. It's my total favourite place full of my homies. Oh and if any of yous support Hearts & Minds, you can support them via Twitter to be the charity for the Edinburgh Twestival.
8. Talking of homies, caught up with Ems and the boys on Wednesday morning before work which was lovely. I only had about 40 minutes, but we all sat round Toby's table and had tea and biscuits and it was very lovely. They seemed to still remember what I look like, which is nice.
9. Changed my hours at Stupid Temp Job so I now have Friday afternoons free. I say 'free', I mean I can go into Magnetic North. Getting up at seven, working three and a half hours in Dalkeith, getting the bus back to Canonmills and working a further 3 and a half hours then getting home at half five. Actually better than spending the whole day in Dalkeith and getting home at half six. It also means I need to do less MN work on a Saturday, giving me more time for other work. Oh dear I have too much to do.
10. Nearly February, dude. What's that about?
11. Oh and I had a haircut. It looks just the same.

- Brian's actual birthday, Siân's birthday drinks.
- However, went to Yo Sushi with Brian first. Had a lot of miso soup. Very lovely place.
- Then went to the Regent to see the wonder of Siân.
- Made vegan jaffa cakes for the occasion. I was expecting these to turn out as a Lovely Thought that later get discarded in the bin. But they were surprisingly nice. Though perhaps gave me a dodgy tummy. I may well be posting up the recipe.
- Saw some excellent people in t'Regent and was very sad to be leaving early.
