Hello people!
Several things:
Firstly wanted to thank everyone so much for the party last week. It was amazing, we were expecting it to be a quite nice party but it felt almost ritualistic, and we felt properly properly engaged after. My favourite was when everyone sang 'Happy Engagement to you'. And people gave us stuff, which we certainly weren't expecting so thank you thank you thank you all.
Talking of presents, Erin (
tisme) and Andy (
andrewducker) gave us a website, which can be viewed here So cool!!
And Fergus (
0olong) (who is btw giving us the fantasticest wedding present of doing our wedding photos!!) thank you for the party photos, I have iconised one as you can see.
Oh shiny pretty weddings! We are still looking for the perfect venue, which consists of outside, trees to climb, plenty of room for running about, room for a band, pretty pretty. So if anyone has any brainwaves please do let us know.
On an unconnected note, where's Ari? I am very confused in my brain not having her here with me. I also just had to endure lunch with my mother and my grandfather's widow. My grandfather was a bit of a bastard, even at his funeral people didn't pretend they liked him. His widow, Anna, has been cruel to members of my family in the past and is now just someone who interests me in no way and with whom I have nothing to talk about whatsoever. She doesn't know about me and Ari and I wasn't happy taking my ring off but was hyper aware of it and tried not to display it. In the end I figured that she is at least a lady and even if she spotted it would think it rude to ask.
Still, not the most fun of days. My mother has not mentioned the ring and it's all a bit odd.
Anyway, I will go and make tea and stuff. It'll be fine.
AAaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!
Missing you all out here in Middle England.
