I read FB intermittently at best, and it's very easy to miss things there. If you moved exclusively there I wouldn't necessarily see them, and I'd miss them.

Same - I don't read my complete feed, only my news feed, and so the update wouldn't necessarily come up. I don't use FB as a blogging tool but I read LJ pretty religiously.
