Just me, all alone (nobody loves me)

Hello it's Lizzie. I'm all alone in Rockhampton. Well, I'm all alone in the internet cafe.
Ok, let me tell you all about the last couple of days.
Saturday was fabulous. We got on a bus to the beach and put up Humphrey in Ari's uncle(Chris)'s back garden. For this we had 6 little helpers - there were 8 kids in the house but the youngest 2 were 10 months and 2 1/2 and both asleep. Everyone else - mainly about 5-7 apart from Emma, Chris's daughter, who is great by the way. They were commandeering pegs and having a good look and once he was up they were constantly in and out, and asking why he's called Humphrey, and altogether having a jolly time. Then we went to the BEACH and swam in the Pacific Ocean. We (again) went to bed fairly early but didn't have the most comfortable night. What wa fabulous was that we got sleeping bags that zip together so we could cuddle up and sleep together (meant in only the most literal sense, by the way, for the benefit of lurking siblings reading this!) But Humphrey was on a slight hill and we kept rolling about which was less fun.
Sunday morning we woke up at 6 and by 7 we were swimming in the ocean. The sight of Ariadne standing in the beautiful blue water of the Pacific with the sun just rising up behind her is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
Unfortunately it soon became apparent that Miss Ariadne was not well at all. We had a big steak breakfast in a cafe with Emma but there was no reviving happening so we decided to head back home. For this we felt mostly guilty for Emma. She's 11 and a bit stuck age-wise with everyone else, who are all under 7, I'd say, and 4 adults in the house who are ALL trying to tell her what to do. She likes us and we like her and it was sad to leave her. But she's taken our phone number and when she gets a phone she'll give us her no and we can text her with our exploits around Oz. (By the way, our number should anyone find themselves in Australia, or want to whack up their phone bill by sending texts to the other side of the world, is 04288 19084. Don't know about codes).
Today Ari is really sick as a parrot (and there are a lot round here to compare) She has a fever. So this morning, when her grandma was at a funeral , I made her tea and told her stories, but now I have cruelly and callously left her (her grandma's back) to get out the house for a bit and do some stuff - like this.
So that's a bit shit. Feel powerless cos there's not a lot I can do to look after her.
But I'm sure it will be fine. Send her get well messages and if she's not better by tomorrow I'll print them out and show them to her, she likes messages from home.
Anyway, sorry, I keep doing other stuff and they're about to shut. It's only 3pm. Weird.
I'm sure I'll have more exciting news soon, have been checking other people's entries but Morag, I'm sorry, I can't listen to your song.
Love to everyone (today I miss Sian a lot. I think perhaps cos we've been bonding with Humphrey). But I miss everyone really.
Lizziexxxxx (love from Ari/Ned too)

Date: 2005-09-12 06:01 am (UTC)She does have an El Jay, but she never checks it - she just reads mine. So she sees everything anyway. I'll let you know if she starts using it more again; she might after her November exams.

Date: 2005-09-12 04:58 pm (UTC)so i really hope Ari gets better soon, i'm missing ya both.
on friday night charlie had her hen party, it was odd not to see you two, was was also odd was seeing a whole pile of guides and then realising that only bec and i are still with auld reekies.
so in auld reekie news the new guides all seem nice, i geuss it is just a matter of getting to know them , takes time especially when i work so sporaticly. i had an agument with george-the-jumper on satuday night who i don't feel is doing a very good job. i was a bit rude and somewhat out of line, whinged to ian again and he agreed with me again, i expect no any change again... oh but having said that: the witches temple is finally being dismantled. yay
in my own personal news: my mother (who is a very cool woman) has decided to rent a private tutoring business in england (alysbury? somewhere close to luton) for a year, so i'm off to visit her this weekend.
i'm going back to lap dancing classes and will be in the same class as fliss cause she is repeating her intermediate (the saucy geek).
my website is www.foxyrouge.com it will not be updated (refer to the lazy comments in the first paragraph) for a very, very long time.
still miss ya, but writing helps. i'll try and do it each now and again
hugs rachel

Date: 2005-09-13 11:05 am (UTC)Don't worry about Ned, Lizzie. She will drink tea and be back to her permanent state of low-grade ill-health in no time.
Tell Grandma that Alex says hello!

Date: 2005-09-14 02:55 am (UTC)I read your live journal the other day, and in it you intimate that perhaps you're not looking forward to going back to Abu Dhabi! Really? Is that because there's fuck all to do and you'll go crazy with the vapid boredom that will be your life if you stay there? Hmmm?
You know where we are. Malaysian Airlines are cheap as chips and will get you to us in no time. Get a job and start saving!
Love you darling,
Ned.

Date: 2005-09-14 12:59 pm (UTC)My fangirl alter-ego must remain safe from people I know. People I only know by their handles are fine, though, because they're almost all fanwriters too. But not you! Stay away! Stay! Sit!
Nice to hear that Grandma's better around you two -- but get out! Get ot of Rockhampton soon! The boredom will drive you crazy. At least in Abu Dhabi I have cinemas and my beloved computer, but there's nothing for you there! Except your loving relatives. Er...
*buggers off in embarassment*
